MALI.GIFMali has been an SDC priority country since 1977. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation has been represented there since 1980 by a Cooperation Office. Switzerland supports Mali’s own development efforts by concentrating its aid programmes on several geographical points including the Sikasso region. Swiss cooperation activities focus on local economies, public health and education.

  • invests particularly in the fight against HIV/AIDS, the supply of essential medicines, the training of nursing staff, the support of community health associations and favouring traditional medicine
Education/training

As with public health, this program aims at encouraging local management and the strengthening of local competencies. Swiss development cooperation

In case of necessity, Swiss cooperation can mobilize the SDC Humanitarian Aid Department.
