Transparency and Competition in the Awarding of Contracts
In response to calls for greater transparency and competition in the awarding of contracts, the SDC has set up a platform on which to publish contracts it is planning as well as those it has already awarded.
Every year the SDC awards some 800 to 1,000 contracts in the fields of development cooperation and humanitarian aid to specialised external organisations and experts. The total volume amounts to CHF 140 to 180 million per year.
To promote economic efficiency, competition, transparency and equal treatment for bidders, it has created a platform on which to publish its mandates and inform interested circles about current and planned service contracts as well as those it has already awarded. The platform enables qualified specialists to inform the SDC of their interest not only in a specific project published on this platform but also in similar future projects. It also gives an overview of past recipients of SDC contracts.
Further information on use of the platform is directly available on the corresponding internet pages. We would be happy to answer any questions at the following address: mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note, however, we are unable to be provide specific information about the projects themselves.
