Promoting the careers of young trainees and raising awareness for international cooperation

The SDC offers traineeships for Junior Professional Officers (JPO) wishing to work in the field of Swiss international cooperation. This offer is addressed to young professionals with a master's degree and two years of work experience who wish to have a long-term career in the field of development and cooperation. This practice-oriented traineeship provides an opportunity to gain professional experience and gives a direct insight into international cooperation

The traineeships involve activities with the SDC, Swiss NGOs or international organisations in Swiss development cooperation with the countries of the south, in cooperation with east European states and the CIS and in the field of humanitarian aid.

The next advertisement of the positions is expected take place in 2012.
